What do you actually get for free?

The free plan is not a trial that expires. Extension autofill remains available on supported forms without a time limit. Your account displays the current allowance for AI tailoring, which includes resume tailoring and fit scores. The job-search tools are available separately. No card is required to start.

Plenty of people never need more than this. If you are applying to a handful of roles a week and you are happy writing your own answers, the free plan covers you.

Why is autofill free but AI tailoring paid?

Because they cost us different amounts to run, and it seemed fairer to price them that way than to put everything behind one wall.

Autofill works from the profile you have already saved. It reads your own stored details and puts them in the right fields, which happens in your browser and costs us essentially nothing per use. There is no reason to meter it, so we do not.

AI tailoring is different. Every time the AI rewrites your resume for a specific role, drafts a cover letter, or answers a set of screening questions, it makes real calls to a language model that we pay for per use. That cost scales directly with how much you use it. Paid plans exist to cover that, which is why they are priced by how many AI-tailored applications you run rather than by unlocking features you already have.

Which plan fits you?

Stay on Free if you apply occasionally, or if what you mainly want is to stop retyping the same details into every Workday and Greenhouse form. Unlimited autofill is the part most people came for, and it is free.

Basic fits an active search where you are sending applications most days and want the AI to tailor them. Fifteen AI-tailored applications a day is more than most people get through in a focused session.

Premium fits a heavy search or a career change, where you are applying across different role types and need each application genuinely reshaped rather than lightly edited. The second-AI review is the difference here: a first pass writes the draft, then a reviewer pass criticises it and the draft is rewritten against that feedback.

Ultimate is for very high volume and for people managing several distinct professional profiles, for example consultants applying under different specialisms.

When is the right time to upgrade?

Try the AI allowance shown in your account first. Review whether the drafts actually helped you make better applications. If you mainly need to stop retyping, you can keep using free autofill on supported forms.

Monthly and yearly are both available. Monthly suits a search you expect to finish quickly. Yearly costs less over twelve months and suits anyone who expects the search to run, or who wants the tool available for the next one too.

What payment methods are accepted? Cards and other methods are handled securely by our authorised payment provider, who acts as Merchant of Record.

Does the free plan expire? No. Extension autofill stays available on supported forms. The AI tailoring allowance is shown in your account and may be used up, but autofill keeps working.

What counts as one AI-tailored application? One application where the AI tailors your resume, drafts a cover letter, or answers the screening questions for a specific role. Filling a form from your saved profile does not count against it, because that uses no AI.

Can I switch or downgrade later? Yes. You can move between plans, and if you downgrade you keep your current plan until the end of the period you have paid for.

What happens to my data if I stop paying? Your account and saved profile stay with you and the free autofill keeps working. You can request export or deletion at any time, as set out in the privacy policy.

Will VeloApply submit applications for me on a paid plan? No, on any plan. VeloApply fills and drafts, then you review and press submit yourself. That is a deliberate design decision, not a paywalled feature.
