Which application system will you land on?
Almost every posting you click will hand you off to one of a handful of applicant tracking systems. Knowing which one you are in tells you what to expect before you start typing.

How do you find jobs actually worth applying to?
Volume alone does not get interviews. A smaller list of roles that genuinely match your experience will beat a hundred scattergun applications, because your background lines up with what the employer wrote down and you can answer the screening questions honestly.
Three filters do most of the work. First, check the posting date, since roles that have been open for months are often stale or already filled internally. Second, read the required qualifications rather than the wish list, because most postings mix both and only the first group is scored. Third, look at whether the description names concrete tools and responsibilities, which is a sign a real hiring manager wrote it.
How many jobs should you apply to in a week?
There is no universal number, and anyone quoting one is guessing. What matters more is the balance between how many you send and how much attention each one gets. If tailoring every application means you send three a week, that is too slow. If sending forty a week means every one is generic, that is wasted effort.
A practical middle is to keep a base resume you trust, adjust the summary and top bullets for each role, and let a tool handle the repetitive form filling so the time you save goes into the parts that actually differ. That is the whole reason the VeloApply extension exists.
What happens after you apply?
Most systems send an automated confirmation, then go quiet. Silence is normal and rarely means rejection. Employers configure their own status labels, so the same wording can mean different things at two companies, which is why reading too much into a status change is usually a mistake. Keep a simple record of where and when you applied so you can follow up once without guessing.
Frequently asked questions
Are these job listings updated?
The live listings pull from job feeds and refresh regularly. Postings can still be filled or removed by the employer before the feed catches up, so always check the date on the employer's own page before applying.
Do I need an account to browse jobs?
No. Browsing is open. You only need an account when you want to save applications or use the AI tailoring features.
Why do the same jobs appear on several sites?
Employers syndicate one posting to multiple boards, and aggregators pick it up from each. Applying twice through different boards does not help, so apply once through the employer's own system where possible.
Does VeloApply apply to these jobs for me?
No. VeloApply fills the form and drafts your answers, then you review and submit yourself. It never auto-submits.
